Job Description

Senior Business Development ManagerCompetitive Salary, Uncapped Commission Scheme, Plus BenefitsRemote Working FlexibilityCompany Profile;We are working in partnership with a leading UK provider of Unified Communications & Collaboration solutions. Our client has over 30 product ranges in their portfolio. Through their extensive network of trusted partners, they supercharge business communicationstechnology by selecting a single, or combination of unified communications technologies that meet their customers requirements.Role Objective;To identify potential sales leads, pitching business products and services, and managing customer relationships. To support the Head of Business Development in delivering the strategic aims and services described in the companys Strategic Plan.Key Responsibilities;

  • Assist with the development of the business sales and marketing strategy
  • Bid for and win contracts that provides a platform for our ambitions in delivering integrated communications
  • Develop promotional strategy and activities
  • Develop new products that meet the needs of commissioning bodies and our clients partner agencies. Lead innovation within the organisation around new offerings that meet the stated (and unstated) needs of commissioners.
  • Generate leads and meet with customers to foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
  • Have a good understanding of company products or services and be able to advise others about them
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets and seeking out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Responsible for all bid and opportunity activities within the organisation, including horizon scanning and ensuring that the company has a 1-2-year bid and opportunity plan that links with service strategies & annual business plans.
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Understand the needs of our clients customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
And all other sales related duties as determined reasonable by the needs of the business.We are seeking a new business hunter; Youll need to have an excellent and demonstrable knowledge of Unified Communications (Voice, Video, Cloud), Data services, Network security, Mobiles and associated technologies.Our client is offering a competitive basic depending on experience, including commission and quarterly/annual bonuses, support and training, an employee loyalty scheme (extra holiday)They also have a wellbeing programme, death in service benefit and a fully funded social calendar - the next treat is lining up to be a fully paid trip to Las Vegas!   • 5-10 years experience in the Unified Communications sector
  • A proven track record of delivering to targets
  • Excellent communication skills, clear written style, concise report writing and a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent standard of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience in senior sales or business development role
  • Experience of conducting research and evaluation.
  • Experience of managing budgets and income generation
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary and inter-agency liaison
  • Experience of service development and contributing to the strategic development of an organisation.
  • Experience writing success bids with significant financial value
  • The ability to conduct commercial negotiations in a professional manner
  • The ability to undertake market appraisal and business cases as required to deliver growth
