Job Description

PRACTICE & DEVELOPMENT MANAGERHome-based - with visits to office in BathNationwide Recruitment Services client is seeking an inspirational and motivational medical practice manager/development manager.The Practice has a great reputation, amongst its patients and the referring community, for its excellence.The results of recent growth provide a fantastic working environment for staff and a quality experience for patients, hence the need for a Practice Manager, and one that can liaise with solicitors practices and GP surgeries for referrals to develop thebusiness even more!They are now recruiting an experienced Practice Manager / Development Manager, to join their incredible team.The role

  • Practice lead on functions and operations; managing the team of support staff, including PAs, developing social media, website, etc, facilities management, and general maintenance.
  • Supporting the clinical and non-clinical senior team, in managing the performance of staff.
  • Operational lead on all HR and staffing matters - including staff recruitment and selection, staff contracts, induction, training, payroll, and appraisal management. The practice manager will deal with HR issues, liaising with external HR specialist helpwhen required.
  • Developing relationships with external stakeholders e.g., legal practices, GP surgeries and other to generate new and develop new business.
  • Developing the Practice, to meet and improve on business goals and objectives. Drive business to gain more referrals to achieve and improve on financial targets.
  • Take the lead on the marketing and sales objectives, managing KPIS and Standard operating procedures, with the assistance of the secretaries/ support staff.
  • Identify and facilitate improvements to drive change and improve customer service, e.g., treatment coordination and patient experience, identifying areas of improvement, then creating and executing a realistic action plan.
  • Managing treatment coordination and patient care management - ensuring the patient experience is exemplary whilst visiting the Practice.
  • Managing key relationships/ external stakeholders. with contracted suppliers e.g., cleaning, grounds maintenance contractors, IT contractors, website developers, software providers, medical equipment suppliers/providers, and building contractors).
  • Managing Practice compliance, policies, and procedures - in accordance with the requirements of regulatory bodies such as the CQC and NHS England.
  • The Practice Manager/ Business Development Manager will be supervising the marketing day-to-day, leading the support staff on the day-to-day marketing practices; concentrating on improving practices such as supplies, tackling backlogs, billing company setup which we have identified and next developing more business.
  • In conjunction with the business partners complete relevant paperwork for Practice compliance, policies, and procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven management expertise, ideally in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven commercial awareness and business/business development experience.
  • Worked within a professional practice environment, nonmedical will be considered eg legal as well as medical or dental or veterinary practice manager as long as you have developed business, managed the practice, and dealt with HR issues, and staffing.
  • Inspirational and motivational manager, to drive and support the team members to succeed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - including the ability to manage relationships with colleagues, clinical professionals, patients, senior management, and contracted suppliers/partners.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise important deadlines while reacting quickly to business needs.
  • Achieved targets and been successful in driving the direct marketing, and business development efforts to increase numbers (tangible referrals to the practice).
  • You will be able to demonstrate your achievements how, when, where, and why you used your people, relationship, and sales skills to influence and target potential customers, generate leads and enquiries which convert into new clients/ patients/ residentsjoining
  • As Practice Development Manager you will target referrals amongst the professional medical sector, various associations, and related providers.
  • Built relationships and secured the next advance to moving to appointment/ referrals/Attendance
  • Identifying new opportunities - building sales reporting strategy.
  • Identifying targets and generating a consistent and continuous referral stream
  • Implementation of a robust strategic development plan to increase occupancy and revenue.
  • This will suit someone who has been a Practice Manager, Business Development Manager, HR, Practice Development Manager, Legal Practice Manager, Sales Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager
