Job Description

The Role: Head of Investment Relationships and Data This role will involve leading a team within the Asset Administration function. The role of the team is to proactively manage and oversee over 9000 investable assets on the Platform from a range of external asset providers as well as on-boarding new investmentsto the proposition. The role is key in managing areas of regulatory compliance and commercial exposure through a range of controls and processes and ensuring a competitive and compelling investment proposition. The role will be responsible owning and operatingthe Investment Governance Framework and reporting to the Investment Operations as Deputy Chair. Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage an existing investment universe of circa £16Bn across 9000+ investable assets on the Platform to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and drive excellent customer outcomes.
  • To manage and establish key external relationships with external fund managers and asset providers to ensure a broad investment proposition to our Adviser and Discretionary Fund manager partners while managing contractual and commercial risk within appetite.
  • Leading and engaging on complex industry level issues by engagement at industry forums and with a network of industry contacts to drive change and resolve issues.
  • Overseeing and reporting through the relevant internal governance as a member/Deputy Chair of the Investment Operations Committee to ensure robust operational risk management and oversight.
  • To lead an experienced team of circa 10 FTE and drive on-going personal development, career progression, cross skilling and scalability.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Significant and proven track record of working at a senior level within an Investment Operations/Asset administration role, preferably within a UK investment Platform.
  • Expert industry knowledge and experience of Investment Platform operations and integration with UK regulated asset providers and the key challenges that arise.
  • Organisational skills: There might be a requirement to work under tight schedules, so it is important to effectively manage and prioritise multiple work assignments.
  • Experience of fund/asset on-boarding including contractual negotiation, key risk management and issue rectification with experience of managing up to executive level.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are a must as the role will need to collaborate across several internal functions to successfully deliver in the role. Building a network of key stakeholders across the business to collaborate andlead will be key.
  • Market Knowledge: it is important to have up to date knowledge of the asset management market in the UK and Europe, market trends and regulatory changes. Mifid, Consumer Duty, Cobs etc
  • Computer skills: Advanced Excel skills with the ability to utilise macros and pivot tables to undertake querying, creation of tables, and formulas
