Job Description

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Credit Control Manager to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in Bath. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:£40,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance and hybrid remote workingRole responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Own the Credit Control function output
  • Ownership of Accounts Receivable
  • Management of team performance, to include training, structure and objective setting
  • Responsible for consistent team performance against monthly collection targets
  • Act as an escalation point for all credit control related matters
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop relationships with key external Clients to ensure the successful collection of invoices
  • Support internal clients to advise on collection status relative to their ongoing work
  • Participate in internal monthly debt review meetings as required
  • Conduct ad-hoc visit to client organisations, with Partners, to provide payment support
  • Work closely with Credit Risk Manager to identify potential bad debt in the portfolio
  • Ensure the accurate collection and allocation of cash within the portfolio
Person specification:
  • Experience of managing a team is essential
  • A self-starter, ability to instil process and change to deliver results
  • Demonstrable experience in credit control internationally
  • Proven track record of receivables and DSO management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, comfortable interacting across all levels of the business globally
  • Experienced at reviewing existing process and establishing enhancements where required
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and work collegiately in a supportive team environment
  • Ability to manage own workload and work with minimal supervision. Highly organised with the proven ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Experienced in driving credit control/collections team to achieve targets
  • Intermediate Excel skills, (VLookups, Pivot Tables) required
  • Capable of presenting analytical data to stakeholders
