Job Description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Hospital based in Bath, in their search for Kitchen Porters / Catering Assistants. The role is an exciting opportunity for a kitchen assistant who has experience within the Public and Health Sectors.As a kitchen porter and assistant, you will help assist the kitchen team and provide a high standard of service. You will be responsible for ensuring all areas are kept clean and sanitary, as well as reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to theappropriate persons.Job Title: Kitchen Porter / Catering AssistantLocation: BathJob Type: Temporary, OngoingHours: 37.5+ hoursStart Date: ASAPKey Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of service to the site and maintain cleanliness in all areas.
  • Basic food preparation
  • Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas
  • Unloading and putting away deliveries
  • Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
  • Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
Personal Specification
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment
  • Standard DBS (we can process one if needed)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Able to travel and work unsocial hours
  • No facial hair, piercings or jewellery
