14 September 2023 Permanent Full Time EmployersJob descriptionJob title: Branch ManagerLocation: BATHManaging 5 staff- approx. turn over around £1.4-£1.5 million per annumSalary: Between around £31,000- £32,300 (plus Saturdays paid as over-time on standard rate – worked on a rota)- salary will negotiateddepending on level of experience.This Branch Manager role is for a Decorators Merchants who supply decorating materials to DIY enthusiasts, contractors and professional decorators along with local authorities. We are stockists for most major paint brands,with branches covering South West England and South Wales. We offer a colour consultancy service to all of our customers and we work closely tradesmen and contractors to make sure they get the products they need. We need an enthusiastic and committed individualto take the branch forward.Reporting to the Group Sales and Operations Manager, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:· Developing all aspects of the business and services we provide from the branch.· Creating new accounts, encouraging newcustomers and developing branch systems and processes to maximise growth.· Overseeing the day to day operational management of the store.· Staff management, including a focus on staff development, completing performance reviews, managing staff rotas and more-currently 2 x part time and 1x full time staff to manage.· Ensuring staff maintain the highest standard of customer service at all times.· EPOS, till operation and banking.· Oversight of stock control and merchandising.· Maintaining the highest standard ofstore presentation and cleanliness.Requirements include:· A proven track record of delivering results whilst working in a high volume fast paced environment.· The ability to lead a team with a passion to deliver results through great customer service.· Personalskills that include an attention to detail, numeracy, as well as computer and IT literacy.· A ‘hands-on’ approach with a ‘can do’ attitude.Experience in the paint industry or a trade counter environment is preferable although not essential.We pride ourselveson offering customers expert advice and outstanding service, whilst giving them the right product at the right price to get their job done. We see the individuals within the company as playing a key role in achieving this, and we are therefore seeking individualswho are friendly, flexible and committed to being a valuable member and leader of the team.Opening hours for the store are 7.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays. Saturdays are worked on a rota basis organised by the branch managerwho is expected to do their fair share- Saturdays worked will be paid as overtime- working approximately 1 in 3 but could be more.
