Job Description

Back End Developer role for digital sports media business based in South WestAre you an experienced Back End Developerlooking to make the next step in your career Join a Digital Team to shape / design native web and mobile applications.Back End Developer Bath up to £55k p.a. + benefits d.o.e.The RoleAs Back End Developer you will work with modern technologies on the most up-to-date tech stacks and serverless databases, designing and building the backend of backend applications and data processing pipelines. Upholding high engineering standards and liaisingthe Technical Lead, CTO and the wider digital team with your duties will include:

  • working with serverless architecture to ensure all data / security
  • ensuring PSNs / APIs / services remain secure
  • problem solving / resolving bugs / maintaining functionality of backend infrastructure
  • developing relationships with wider digital team
There is a dedicated training time each week, so you will have the opportunity to enhance your skill set and the technologies that you use.The CompanyOur client is a digital sports media business, and a leading creator of digital sports videos.The PersonAs Back End Developer you will have experience in a similar role with knowledge / experience of:
  • writing scalable JavaScript (Node.js) and TypeScript
  • backend frameworks eg Express
  • good communication skills
  • finding shortcoming in existing applications and infrastructure
  • architecting code to be efficient and future proof
