Job Description

Eclectic are currently working with a leading consultancy firm based to the west of Cambridge to recruit for a Financial Controller. This newly created position will report directly into the senior management team and has come about due to the companies continued growth and offers long term potential to progress into a Finance Director role. Some of the areas this position will cover includes:

Financial modelling and forecasting to assist the senior leadership team with strategic decision making

Create and develop annual budgets and forecasts, provide month analysis on this against actual performance along with investigating any variances

Oversee the day to day running of the finance team and work to further progress and develop their skillset

Ensure the business is compliant with all regulatory requirements in the different locations global by working with country finance managers and external consultants

Work with the senior leadership team to provide sound financial guidance to ensure the continued commercial success of the business.

This role represents a great opportunity to join a business as they embark on an accelerated growth curve and as such will require you to have the following qualities and experience:

Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) and be current with all CPD requirements.

Have experience of audit either having taken a business through their audit cycle or having audited businesses previously.

Proactive attitude and take ownership of your work, the businesses is going to be growing quickly so you will need to be able to react just as fast.

Into the detail whilst also able to keep the bigger picture in mind

Poses a commercial mindset, the information and advice that you provide will help to steer the direction of the organisation.
