Job Description

Nursing Home, Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Mental HealthRef: KPJ2675£16 p/h – Up to £32K/Band 5 Equivalent | FT Days | Great Benefits | Elderly & Dementia Nursing Home A leading elderly and dementia nursing home in the Barrhead area currently requires Registered Nurses to join their days nursing team.The home offers elderly, dementia and palliative care services and consistently receives good/4 Care Inspectorate quality grades in addition to having a great local reputation.Details of this Staff Nurse position and what the home has to offer:

  • Great hourly rates of pay of up to £16 per hour, which is in line with top NHS Band 6 rates and an annual salary in the region of £32,000
  • Contracts to work 33 to 38.5 hours per week on flexible day shifts covering a 7 day rota, with rotas finalised 5 weeks in advance
  • £500 welcome bonus (subject to T&Cs)
  • Free PVG check, staff uniforms, staff parking and meals whilst on long day shifts
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities in addition to support when revalidating
  • In this role you will coordinate and implement care plans, manage and administer medications and ensure that a high quality clinical and personal care service is maintained, working in collaboration with the HCAs on duty.The skills, experience and qualifications required:
  • NMC Registered Nurse – Adult Nurse, Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse
  • Ideally demonstrate some post-registration experience although NQ Nurses will also be mentored through a preceptorship programme
  • Ideally experienced working in a UK care home setting or passionate about working in ABI and mental health care
