You will be responsible for managing your own community caseload under direct supervision from a Senior Community Addiction Nurse or the Nurse Team Leader, and will play a key part in delivering an integrated addiction service across East Renfrewshire as part of East Renfrewshire Community Addiction Team. You will provide a service across East Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership area for patients who are experiencing addiction problems and in doing so will also have a key role in promoting and developing the role of the Community Addiction Nurse. You will have an important role in supporting practice education of student nurses; with support from a Senior Community Addiction Nurse or the Nurse Team Leader. It is essential that you are a registered nurse with current NMC registration. You should also have evidence of continuing professional development and have excellent communication and organisational skills. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clydes pre-employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note that candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current NMC registration, in line with projected start date for this post, may not be shortlisted for interview.
