Job Description

Planning distribution of stock between warehouses in UK, Europe and North AmericaBook all Supplier delivery receipts into EPR system.Administer and control non-production purchasing activities.Client DetailsOur client is part of a large manufacturing business based in BarnsleyDescription

  1. Plan the daily work for product assembly plus repair kitting, raising works orders as required to maintain strategic stock levels
  2. Maintain and update planning records and KPIs
  3. Planning the distribution of stock between UK, Europe Poland and North America
  4. Manage the process of Indirect Purchasing, ensuring all Purchase Requisitions are processed in a timely manner and filed with traceability for approvals
  5. Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key internal customers, in order to gain an understanding of their needs to improve the service provided
  6. Maintain up-to-date records of all Production supplier quality certificates
  7. Maintain COSHH register and update before any new substance is Purchased and delivered
  8. Processing of incoming goods on to the computer system and three-way cross-checking of purchase orders / delivery notes / invoices; including resolution of discrepancies as required
  9. Provide cover for other team members, undertake training and development activities and ad-hoc project work, plus any other reasonable duties as required
Profile
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (English)
  • Good inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong number and analytical skills, combined with creative problem-solving abilities
  • Good commercial and business appreciation
  • Computer literate, including good MS Office experience
  • Experience of working as a Buyer / Material Controller - ideally within manufacturing environment
