Job Description

Are you a meticulous individual with a keen interest in procurement We are currently seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Barnsley, contributing to the success of a prominent player in the consumer goods industry.This role also has a second element as Purchasing Office Assistant, which will include Sales Administration to Inovicing.Client DetailsThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to thrive in a dynamic and growing organisation as a Purchasing Assistant.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:

  1. Purchase Order Management: Efficiently create and manage purchase orders in adherence to company policies.
  2. Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, actively negotiating terms and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  3. Inventory Control: Monitor and optimize inventory levels to align with production and customer demands.
  4. Cost Analysis: Conduct regular analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, logistics, and finance to ensure streamlined procurement processes.
  6. Contract Management: Assist in managing supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met.
  7. Office Assistant: This includes Sales Admin to Invoicing.
ProfilePurchasing Assistant Requirments:
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the consumer goods sector.
  • Ideally Office Assistant experience, such as Sales Admin and Invoicing (Sage)
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
