* Provide accurate environmental and sustainability advice and support* Deliver environmental awareness training* Provide support and guidance to operational teamsEnvironmental AdvisorLeeds / Barnsley£38k + Car AllowanceOur client is one of the largest providers of critical digital infrastructure across commercial and community development projects within the UK and we are proud to support in their search for a Compliance Manager to join them.The Environmental Advisors role is to oversee and lead the environment and sustainability aspects of our works as we aim to deliver a best-in-class service to our customers and clients to support the business on our contracts and depots leading the environmentand sustainability agenda.Key Responsibilities: * Provide accurate environmental and sustainability advice and support to operational field delivery staff, including advising on Environmental Regulations, compliance as well as environmental and sustainability good practice. This will either be by directsupport or use of available expertise within the group.* Identifying and minimising significant environmental aspects and impacts by assist with the compilation of environment risk assessments* Deliver environmental awareness training for existing staff and new starters and will be instrumental in the development of environmental standards* Provide support and guidance to operational teams, management and customers on environmental performance* Data collection, analysis, feedback and reporting, including scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions* Assist and support the QESH Manager / Quality & Compliance Manager in the preparation of internal and external reports* Engage staff and contractors on environmental performance* Undertake audits of contract depots and staff* Assist and support operational management to promote the environmental and sustainability agenda Assist operational personnel with incident investigation; provide advice, support and guidance on legal framework* Support local managers on the contact with environmental regulators (e.g., Local Authority, Environment Agency etc.) accompanying them on inspections, audits and responding to complaints and queries* Provide feedback on identified environmental risks and give advice regarding possible solutions and remedial actionsKey Skills: * A 2:1 degree in a science-based degree including biology, chemistry or physics, is strongly desirable* IEMA / NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management* General construction environmental awareness* Understanding of core environmental principles and regulations* Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence* Be IT literate with good presentation skills* Excellent organisation & time management skills* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a very large but continually growing business in a key role as part of their growth and we look forward to your application.
