Job Description

Class 1 DriverWorking any days MONDAY - SUNDAY 03:00 - 07:00 STARTS OR 16:00 - 19:00 STARTSPay rate: £14.00 - £19.00 PER HOURWhats in it for mePeople Solutions are recruiting Class 1 Drivers to cover ad hoc shifts for various Clients within Barnsley and surrounding areas.This role would be perfect for someone who is happy to have a few shifts per week or work on a part time basis.Benefits:

Day to Day Duties:
  • Be prepared for various shift lengths.
  • Operate different trailer types.
  • Comply with driving rules and laws.
  • Ensure cab is well presented at all times.
  • Be prepared to use a tail lift.
  • Complete runs for store deliveries to trunk runs.
  • Ensure you load is secured correctly.
  • Be available for ASAP starts.
Essential Skills:
  • Hold a valid UK C+E licence.
  • Have at least 12 months experience driving C+E vehicles.
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
  • Have an in date UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card.
  • Experience operating various trailer types.
  • Data on your tacho card from the last 60 days.
  • Be prepared for handball.
  • Good time keeping.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Can do attitude.
Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience working as an ad hoc driver on general haulage is desirable but not essential.
