Job Description

BI Developer £280m Turnover Manufacturer Huge Growth & Progression Opportunities Salary - £30,000 - £40,000 + benefits Location - Barnsley Currently working from home due to Covid 19 precautions however when office reopens you will be in the Barnsley office 4-5 days per week so must currently live locally.

With recent investment into the Data, Business Intelligence, and Infrastructure teams now is the time to explore opportunities within this growing reputable business.Due to growth and investment in the Data and Business Intelligence team, they are seeking an additional BI Developer to join the team. In this role, you will need excellent commercial experience of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to maintain existing platforms and develop additional solutions. You will be part of an agile Data and BI team responsible for all SQL Server and ETL processes within Business Intelligence, Development and Infrastructure. The core of this role will be in the creation and management of data warehousing solutions. With the greenfield nature of this team, you will genuinely have the opportunity to leave your mark and have a huge impact to streamline data and ultimately make important business decisions.Responsibilities - BI Developer
  • Design, develop and maintain data warehouse solutions
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify areas of poor or inconsistent data, then develop and implement solutions
  • Transform data from a variety of data sources into SQL Server
  • Work closely with the business to ensure compliance to the GDPR legislation
    • Essential Qualifications - BI Developer
  • Proven commercial experience within a similar role within a Data Management/Business Intelligence team
  • Commercial experience of MS SQL Server Reporting Services and MS SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS and SSRS)
  • Experience of working with a complex data architecture (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL databases)
  • Experience in DAX, MDX, OLAP, R, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools
  • Experience working with SQL Data Warehouses
  • Demonstrable experience in building reports and dashboards from code to output
  • Demonstrable experience of translating and loading data from a variety of data sources
  • A self-motivated team player, able to work on own initiative and be proactive
  • A good communicator capable of using data to influencing senior management to drive issue resolution
