Job Description

  • Create and review raw material specifications in line with Group technical and labelling policies including all regulatory changes that will impact on the accuracy of the pack information and labelling
  • Managing the status of the specifications within the tracker and on the raw material specification system.
  • Regularly reviewing of raw material specification submissions/validations etc.
  • Validation of specifications and processes to identify synergies and scope for consolidation through a continuous improvement process
  • The maintenance and development of Greencore online Raw Material portal legislation
  • Operate in compliance with SHE policy to ensure that the working environment remains safe for all colleagues
  • Internal auditing of practices adopted by Group Technical and the Systems used to support this.
  • Liaising with key stake holders on a regular basis by proving a supporting role of group Technical Specifications department

  • Level 2 for Food Hygiene
  • Level 2 Health and safety
  • Basic HACCP awareness
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Knowledge on web based customer specification systems
  • A knowledge of writing specifications for retailers in food manufacturing environment
  • Desirable knowledge of legal labelling and legislation and application
  • Excellent communication skills
