Job Description

Carry out risk assessed audits and approval of the supplier base for manufacturing sites in order to demonstrate food safety, compliance and legality are being met
Comprehensive understanding of supplier requirements in order to ensure delivery of technical food safety criteria for the manufacturing sites
Ensure Food Safety audits and approvals are conducted on an appropriate, risk assessed schedule whilst also ensuring other Manufacturing requirements are met from an auditing perspective (e.g. Emergency audits, new supplier approval audits, innovation auditingand investigations)
Communication of best practice and suggest ways of working to ensure effectiveness across the group from a compliance and technical standards perspective
Ensure up to date technical policies and procedures are operational and aligned to best practice from a legal and customer compliance perspective.

Degree / L4 Food Science or equivalent qualification
L4 HACCP
Retail knowledge
Relevant Food Science / micro qualification
Internal Audit Management
QMS management
Technical Strategy implementation
BRC/certification knowledge
KPI generation
RCA – problem solving techniques
Lead Assessor qualification
Customer COP knowledge
Food legislation
