Job Description

Senior IT Engineer (ERP) - Chesterfield - 38,000 (On-Site)I am currently seeking a motivated and skilled Senior IT Engineer with experience in SAP or Other ERP Systems, to join the team at a leading manufacturer in Chesterfield. The Senior IT Engineer will work closely with the IT Supervisor and take over when needed.The company are offering an opportunity for progression and professional growth!Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement tailored IT solutions, upgrades, and enhancements for the FMCG sector.
  • Monitor and address vulnerabilities in system performance, data integrity, and security.
  • Conduct audits and assessments for continuous improvement, recommending necessary changes.
  • Utilise expertise in SAP or equivalent ERP systems to support critical processes and integrations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices for optimised system performance and security.
  • Oversee IT operations, ensuring effective communication within the team as a deputy to the IT Manager.
  • Provide on-call support, minimising disruptions and maintaining system uptime.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Senior IT Technician role.
  • Strong expertise in SAP or equivalent ERP systems within the FMCG sector.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with bespoke automation systems and custom FMCG integrations.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex technical issues.
  • Flexibility for on-call support and non-business hour work.
