Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to partner with Functional Business Leaders and Line Managers to successfully implement the People plan and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and legal requirements.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Build effective working relationships and partner with Business Leaders and Line Managers in Functions, to build organisational capability and a culture which allows inspirational leaders to support highly engaged people to deliver superior performancein a fair and rewarding environment
  • Provide advice and challenge to Business Leaders and Line Managers to keep people at the core and minimise business risk as they design and implement organisational change
  • Provide interview, selection and on-boarding expertise to Business Leaders and Line Managers to ensure that Greencore recruits and retains the best talent in the industry
  • Facilitate Performance and Career calibrations for all salaried managers within functions providing suitable challenge and rigour, ensuring the right development and succession planning is in place to achieve the strategic priorities
  • Provide developmental support, coaching and direction to line managers to ensure colleagues perform to expected results, and that clear guidance is given on approaches to building capability
  • In conjunction with Head of HR and Business Leaders, lead the administration of the annual salary review, bonus and off cycle processes
  • Interpret HR Policy, legislation, and HR practise to ensure compliance and consistency and risk mitigation
  • Provide relevant HR key performance indicator information and insight to business leaders in a timely manner and develop action plans to address any issues

  • A relevant HR qualification (CIPD level 5) or equivalent demonstrable work
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • HR partnering background with a good understanding of, and background in, managing across a broad range of people matters
  • Proven practice of HR operations, especially ensuring quality and accuracy of key operational processes e.g. payroll and reward
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and in writing – coupled with the ability to draft and manage own correspondence, which may include complex documents
  • Exceptional organisational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and demonstrate adaptability/flexibility to cope with changing demands and priorities
  • Has proven track record of coaching Business Leaders and developing line managers and functional peers
  • Demonstrates a broad business understanding; able to understand functional business priorities and the people implications
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work flexibly to meet deadlines and have the drive to deliver results
  • Comprehensive practice of using the follow Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate high levels of initiative and independent decision making
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, providing support to team members, business leaders, line managers and the wider business These may be trained or developed. These do not all need to be in place at recruitment
