Security Technical Lead - Operational Technologies - Hybrid

Job Description

Working within the Security team, but closely aligned to Engineering, this role will provide hands on reporting and technical assurance of security control effectiveness for all Operational Technologies. Creating policies, identifying capability gaps anddelivering solutions, providing guidance, training, and proactively developing their colleagues capabilities to recognise and handle security risks within the Operational Technologies within Greencore.Key Accountabilities:

• Working with the engineering, security, and IT operations team to agree what data security controls we are measuring and how they are measured.
• Providing regular independent verification of control effectiveness, including adherence to retention and classification policies
• Identifying improvements and new controls to remove technical risks from the Greencore estate.
• Assisting Engineering to identify processes, equipment and configurations that pose security risks and designing / implement improvements and controls to remediate the risks.
• Generate monthly reports showing compliance status against all controls.
• Work with Third parties to Identify threats and vulnerabilities to our OT estate, and input into the remediation activities, improvement plans and prevention measures.
• Work with Third parties, Engineering, and IT Operations to investigate unusual behaviours and activities in the Operational Technology Domain.
• Perform investigations into unusual behaviours and potential incidents within the Operational Technology landscape.
• Assist Engineering in ensuring they have adequate backups and Business Continuity Plans for all critical Operational Technology services and systems
• Work with Risk management to ensure accurate capture of security risks and mitigations.
• Works with IT Delivery team to ensure all OT developments have appropriate security controls and that regulatory requirements are understood and adhered to.
• Work collaboratively across the IT function, Engineering, third parties and broader business in a friendly and communicative way ensuring everyone is handling data in a common, secure way
• Keeping up to date with the latest developments and industry trends, identifying technologies and improvements that will protect Greencore.

What were looking for

• Relevant work experience and/or education in IT and/or Cyber security, including self-taught skills.
• Most importantly, a passion for cyber security and self-motivation to learn and grow
• Good communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Data Loss Prevention technologies desirable
• Understanding of technical controls required to protect data desirable
