Job Description

We are looking for a Procurement Excellence (GPE) Partner to to partner with buyers and suppliers in driving a culture of sustainable cost reduction through providing product and market insight, cost modelling, product rationalisation, financial diagnosticsand other best practice principlesResponsibilities:

  • Create cost models e.g. cost build, could costs and should costs, through research, facilitation and general data gathering activities which identify and direct cost savings
  • Actively contribute and support the identification and delivery of specific projects
  • Provide facilitation and challenge existing norms for procurement, to support the embedding of new ways of working
  • Take joint ownership with procurement peers for the identification and delivery of targeted cost savings
  • Act as an advocate for Greencore Purchasing Excellence by coaching colleagues in the routine use of Greencore Purchasing Excellence tools and methods
  • Contribute to the supplier negotiation activity with insight, analysis and describe the logic for suggested cost savings
  • Support all elements of supplier diagnostic activity, including engagement; data analysis; evaluation; training; implementation; tracking and follow up support

  • Degree level calibre
  • Advanced numeracy and analytical skills; ability to review finance and commercial information and draw new insights /understanding
  • Experience in operational and financial diagnostics would be advantageous
  • Inquisitive and able to challenge appropriately; ability to influence and implement change
  • Track record of delivering projects against a brief within agreed timeframes
  • Highly competent with Microsoft office, with the ability to build and accurately maintain trackers
