Job Description

  • You will be looking after the IT spend across the entirety of our estate.
  • Own the Procurement process for RFI, RFP, E-procurement, negotiation and vendor management for all key IT spends, including software as a service, hardware and networks.
  • Work with IT project leads to formulate and implement project plans to ensure that functional & business needs and targets are achieved. Specific focus on cost control, business risk, futureproof technology solutions & sustainability.
  • Negotiating, drafting and completing contractual terms, in line with Greencores key requirements
  • Complete commercial negotiations through to contract award or amendment
  • Undertake the identification & execution of cost avoidance / saving initiatives and develop cost reduction plans
  • Build great relationships with key stakeholders and support design requirements through dialogue and facilitation. Provide commercial input into the building of business cases by stakeholders
  • Cultivate and manage key supplier relationships for long term strategic positioning where relevant
  • Work with the IT team to manage performance of key suppliers and partners.
  • Forecast cost movement projections for input to the budgeting process
  • Provide professional procurement expertise and commercial focus, constantly challenging the balance between cost and service.

  • Degree level calibre
  • Substantial experience in managing IT Category spend, specifically across systems such as SaaS and CRM.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal; Able to communicate effectively and in a structured way at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and work across systems.
  • Experienced with contract writing and be able to draft and negotiate complex contracts to meet a variety of business objectives.
  • Clear and concise communicator who is able to engage senior stakeholders and leaders from across the business.
  • Ideally MCIPS qualified, and a MSc in a relevant field would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience of achieving significant savings, both through major initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Strong with Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proficient with vlookups and pivot tables
