Our mission is to become the housebuilder of choice in the North by making aspirational homes attainable.Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Benefits Manager to join our team based at our Group head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.The RoleAre you an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager with experience in high volume payroll processing Are you organised, analytical whilst also possessing excellent relationship building skills If the answer is yes, then look no further, your nextcareer could be with us! Joining our team as Payroll & Benefits Manager, your duties will include;

  • Overseeing and managing the payroll function and high-volume processing of 700+ employees across two payrolls.
  • To co-ordinate the monthly payroll which includes commissions, overtime, bonuses, travel and fares.
  • Management of the Group Payroll team consisting of two Payroll Coordinators.
  • To act as the point of contact alongside the Payroll Coordinators for all company payroll and benefits enquiries.
  • Lead and project manage the yearly tax activity to ensure the business complies with HMRC legislation.
  • Supporting the wider business with payroll & benefit issues along with statutory reporting such as gender pay.
  • Co-ordination and management of company benefits including company fuel card plan, pensions auto enrolment and company car plan to include P11Ds.
  • Overseeing the processing of P60s, P45s, Court Orders, Private Medical, SMP, SPP and any other ad hoc payments and deductions.
  • Company sick pay management and process management of new starters, leavers and contract changes.
  • Providing advice to the business and administering payroll and benefit updates in relation to legislation to ensure the business remains complaint with the latest legislative changes.
  • Leading the payroll team in relationship building with the wider business along with senior stakeholder management.
  • Management reports as required.
Who are we looking forOur ideal Payroll & Benefits Manager will have experience of high-volume payroll processing of 700+ employees to include monthly and weekly payrolls.This is a fantastic role for development and growth with the opportunity to review, develop and streamline processes within the payroll function.You will also need to be highly organised and possess the following;
  • A strong communicator who has the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Experience in delivering a start to end in-house payroll.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage time effectively, especially in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • CIPP qualified - highly desirable
  • Experience of the ResourceLink payroll system is desirable yet not essential.
