Job Description

To work as part of a technology development team and manage and ensure the successful delivery of portfolio activity within their technology area. Perform build tasks whilst also guiding others in the completion of work allocated to them.Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop a lean and effective team, providing management, leadership, and direction to ensure that the team are engaged, developed, and delivering their potential
  • Working with the Head of Infrastructure Delivery to manage the utilisation of build resources to deliver portfolio activity. Support the forward forecast of resource ensuring the right level if technical skills are available
  • Working as the Senior Infrastructure Build Lead to implement technical build activity, adhering to the solution outlined in the LLD. Working with the Infrastructure Tech Lead, Project Manager and Operations to identify and potential obstacles/ barriers.
  • Point of escalation within the infrastructure build team for technical delivery. Taking responsibility for ensuring self-development of technologies identified on the Greencore technical roadmap
  • Analyse current infrastructure and make recommendations for solutions that improve business performance or efficiencies within Group IT
  • Coordinate projects alongside the assigned project manager on a technical level, providing input into planning and accurately forecasting timescales for delivery. Proactively communicating to the project team any impact on time, quality, or cost.
  • Provide documentation in adherence to technical standards whilst contributing to the improvement of such standards and the process that supports the completion of technical governance.

What were looking for
  • Educated to Degree level typically variety of different types of project experience, infrastructure, technical IT, etcnotable experience working cross functionally, experience of agile project management
  • Demonstrable experience working in programme management and project delivery
  • Technically very capability. Someone who has used and is very technically able
  • Strong relationship skills and demonstrate teamwork with colleagues, business functions, business leaders to deliver functional goals
  • Ability to think through issues rationally and make decisions within area of responsibility
  • Experience of leading and growing high performing teams
