Our mission is to become the housebuilder of choice in the North by making aspirational homes attainable.Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Group Finance Centre Team Leader to join our business on a 12-month fixed term contract basis covering maternity leave, at our Group head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.The RoleDo you have experience of leading a team within a Finance management function Do you have knowledge of the purchase ledger and cashbook processes If the answer is yes, then look no further, your next career could be with us! Joining our team as Group Finance Centre Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the daily running of the purchase ledger, making sure that invoices are appropriately authorised in line with company policy and procedures and that all queriesare dealt with to ensure payment are made on time. In addition, you will be responsible for supervising the daily management of the cashbooks in the COINS system, and all payments for the business.Please note - this is a 12-month fixed term contact opportunity covering maternity leave*Key duties and requirementsYou will also be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Day to day management of the Group Finance Centre team.
  • Ensuring all invoices are receipted to the business electronically via EDI or email due to the office being paperless.
  • Ensuring that the Group Policies and Processes are adhered to within the department
  • Escalation of queries that are unable to be resolved by the Purchase Ledger Administrators
  • Reviewing and actively managing the workloads of all team members, distributing and delegating tasks as per business requirements.
  • Providing support and guidance to the team.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested
Who are we looking forAs well as being able to demonstrate previous people leader experience, in particular the management of a large team, you must also possess an aptitude to combine strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels ofstaff, whilst also maintaining a keen desire to work in a quality driven business.To be considered for this role you must also possess;
  • Previous purchase ledger experience - essential.
  • People management experience.
  • An excellent understanding of the VAT process.
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in relation to dealing with the Group Finance Centre team, internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Excellent IT skills in particular Microsoft Outlook.
  • An organised and motivated outlook along with a flexible attitude to changing business requirements.
  • Experience of COINS is desirable yet not essential.
