Job Description

Supporting the Head of Finance and Finance Manager ensuring the financial reporting is accurate and timely and the business is complying with all statutory obligations. As part of their strategic growth plan, an Assistant Accountant position has been createdwhich will be a pivotal role in assisting with the monthly management accounts process. The position will include recording accurate financial transactions, as well as workload management with the help of the wider team.Job Summary

  • Preparation and posting of journals
  • Prepayments and accruals in to Accounting software SAGE
  • Profit & Loss Reporting
  • Reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts.
  • Responsible for end-to-end sales ledger and cash allocation
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Preparation and submission of P11Ds
  • Credit Control
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Assisting with Purchase Ledger
  • Assist with annual audit.
  • Review of overheads and investigation of material variances
  • Ad hoc reporting
Skills and Qualifications Requirements
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong accountancy skills
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within a finance function
  • Experience using Sage 50
