Job Description

Working Hours: 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday (Tuesday until 5:30pm)Working Weeks: 42 weeks per year (term time plus 7 weeks)Salary: £11.84 per hour, £19,505.56 per annumWe are looking for a flexible and reliable Admissions and Administration Assistant to join our team, here at Barlborough Hall School.The Admissions Assistant ensures that the admissions process is carried out accurately, professionally and with a view to customer service at all times. This role will also provide general office administration support for Barlborough Hall School, supportingthe administration team as required. They will assist with events and meeting arrangements as required by the Headteacher.The RoleMain duties and responsibilities are below but not limited to:Ensure all admissions communications are recorded on ISAMs the schools database, providing sufficient detail and ensuring accuracy.

  • Respond to enquiries from prospective families in a timely manner as laid out in the Admissions Plan.
  • Be the primary point of contact for visiting families, welcoming them to the school, ensuring a tour is organised.
  • Provide the Head of Admissions and Headteacher with regular reports on admissions activity at BHS and to provide data into the School Office
  • Assist in organising and running of all major admissions events, including but not limited to, open events, entrance and scholarship assessments, taster days, transition days and all forms of visits, including virtual events.
  • To support the transition of Barlborough Hall pupils to Mount St. Marys College, for which Barlborough is the lead feeder school.
  • Liaise with the teaching staff/ Headteacher to arrange taster days both within the nursery and preparatory school.
  • Provide general office support for the School, e.g. letter writing, taking minutes, managing parent enquiries or taking mainline calls and messages.
  • Assist with the arrangements of events, parent meetings, staff meetings and any associated administration the school requires.
  • Assist in the running of the Schools baby group, little birds.
YouBeing a people person and organised is an absolute must for this role!You will have fantastic communication skills and be an experienced administrator, helping where needed, along with managing your own workload to a high standard and in a timely fashion.You will have the ability to work well with others and share workloads during busy periods throughout the school day.
