Job Title: Qualified Science TeacherLocation: Barking and DagenhamSecondary School Salary: Paid to scaleStart date: January 2024Empowering Learning is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Hackney from January 2024.The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Science and will possess a strong track record of delivering high-quality Science lessons to secondary school students. You will have experience of teaching the full range of Science ability levels andbe able to demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.Responsibilities:· Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons· Develop and deliver effective assessment methods that accurately measure student progress and identify areas for improvement· Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally· Contribute to the development and implementation of the Science curriculum, ensuring that it is relevant, engaging and up-to-date· Collaborate with other members of staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment· Participate in extra-curricular activities, such as school trips and events, as requiredRequirements:· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)· Proven experience of teaching Science at secondary school level· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Strong organisational and time management skills· A commitment to continuous professional developmentIf you are a Science Teacher looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
