Job Description

Water is essential to daily life, and that means our business is always open.What you will be doingWe are looking for an experienced Independent Authoriser to coordinate complex operational activities, identify conflicts, and offer advice to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Conduct on-site control, inspections,and audits to ensure that contractors and operational field teams undertake work safely and as per the standards specified, to ensure works is delivered in an efficient manner while complying with current legislation.Were looking for you to:

  • Coordinate complex planned and reactive technical activities to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimal customer impact
  • Provide technical support to determine solutions to problems and ensure Confined space safe and secure isolation can be completed
  • Provide information on required improvement to the Network assist with planning and support planned investigations to assist owner in the risk assessment process
  • Liaise with and audit service provider teams/gangs in the field to ensure work is undertaken in accordance with the Code of practice for confined space working
  • Monitor, coordinate and authorise contractor activities to include planning and implementing a programme of audits of work to confirm standards of delivery by service providers
  • Have Expert knowledge of waste network systems including sewers, pumping stations, and ancillaries
  • Detailed knowledge of NRSWA and good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, NEBOSH general certificate level certified
  • Experience in planning and working in the wastewater network and its in confined spaces
