Job Description

Electrical maintenance engineerFood waste recyclingBarking4 on 4 off days and nightsUp to £49,000 per annumGi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with one of the UKs leading processors offood waste recycling, they are at the forefront of their field and offer environmentally.safe renewable products. The company in question are looking for Electrical Maintenance Engineer at their site in Barking.Job Role:To maintain, by servicing and repair, all machinery to maintain production and meet all.health and safety requirements. Proactively drive improvement and cost savings ofenergy and utilities whilst maintaining the ability to meet varying and increasing.demands from production.Typical Duties will involve:

  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Site Electrical installations and upgrade work around the plant.
  • Electrical maintenance of Plant including ppm system.
  • Attending and rectifying electrical breakdowns on site.
  • Maintenance of lighting systems including emergency lighting.
  • Electrical Maintenance of offices.
  • Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditation.
  • Knowledge of 3 phase 415v Motor drives 0.75kw - 160kw (including star / delta control) and motor inverter controls.
  • Good control panel fault finding skills (24VDC - 415VAC).
  • Knowledge of various types of panel control including contactors, overloads, relays.
  • Experience and an understanding of various instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure transducers, level sensors with 24Vdc 4-20MA controls.
Desirable experience
  • You must have knowledge of Heavy Industry electrics.
  • Experience of PLCS would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working on steam boilers and CHP plant would be an advantage.
  • Have extensive electrical knowledge / training.
  • Experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Confident demeanour.
  • Be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
  • Experience of plant operations.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.
