A welcoming, Catholic Primary school in Dagenham are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Downs Syndrome on a 1 to 1 basis for the summer term.The RoleIn this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will be supporting a pupil in year 4 with Downs Syndrome. She is settled within the class but requires full-time support. You will work with the class teacher and SENCo to prepare specific learning activities whichyou can deliver alongside taking part in some whole class lessons.The school are looking for a caring and confident SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience supporting children with special educational needs.This role starts in April and is offered on a full-time basis until July 2024.The School This welcoming Catholic primary school part of a larger Catholic Multi-Academy Trust which has schools across Barking, Dagenham and Redbridge. As a one-form-entry school the school has a family feel and staff work closely to support each other. There isa strong Catholic ethos which is incorporated in to all areas of school life to encourage children’s spiritual development alongside their learning.
