Job description POST: Breakfast Club & Administration AssistantSALARY: APT&C Scale 3 pro-rata £22,933 actual salaryHOURS: 35 hours per week term-time only 7.30am to 3.30pmDEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Tuesday 5th March 2024 by 12pmINTERVIEWS: Tuesday 12th March 2024 Breakfast Club and Administration AssistantLine Manager: Office ManagerPurpose of Job:The postholder will provide a welcoming Breakfast Club for students before school, assist the office administration team, and contribute to the smooth running of the school. The role involves offering efficient administration and reception services to parents,students, and staff.Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set up and supervise Breakfast Club in the mornings.
  • Assist children in selecting their food and guide them to appropriate seating.
  • Clear tables after meals.
  • Maintain an electronic register of attendance at the Breakfast Club.
Stock Management:
  • Maintain stock levels for Breakfast Club items.
  • Liaise with the finance department to re-order stock as needed.
Behaviour and First Aid:
  • Ensure high standards of behavior during Breakfast Club following school policies.
  • Administer first aid as an identified first aider, maintaining relevant first aid qualifications.
  • Log, record, and report all visits to first aid following the school policy.
Medication and Health and Safety:
  • Assist the Office Manager in managing student medication, ensuring safe storage per school policy.
  • Follow the schools Health and Safety Policy.
Reception and Telephone Services:
  • Provide reception cover during staff absence and breaks.
  • Cover school main telephone lines, ensuring timely responses.
Deliveries and Goods:
  • Administer deliveries and receipt of goods.
First Point of Contact:
  • Act as the first point of contact for the school, welcoming parents and visitors.
  • Handle face-to-face, electronic, and telephone inquiries professionally and promptly.
Safety and Security:
  • Ensure the safety and security of the school premises.
  • Control entry, ensuring visitors and staff sign in and out as necessary.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • First aid qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
