Autism Resource Provision SupportI am currently looking for Learning Support Assistants/Teaching Assistants with knowledge, understanding and experience with supporting autism.The clients that Im working with are looking for experienced and dedicated candidates to support in their Autism Resource Provision, an area in the school that is dedicated to the support of their students who are living with Autism. If you have experience supporting autism in a mainstream or special needs school and are seeking a new challenge, this may be the role for you.Objectives of the ARP• Encourage students to become independent learners and improve their social interaction skills.• Identify and support students social and emotional needs• Encourage and support daily communication• Support students who can benefit from the expectations and demands of mainstream education.• Encourage and support practical function skills• Develop sensory processing Requirements• Knowledge/Understanding of Autism (essential)• TEACCH (desired)• SCRETS (desired)• PECS (desired)• MAKATON (desired)Apply now with an up-to-date CV and all successful candidates will be contacted to progress their application.
