Job Description

Our client based near Bargoed is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Assistant to effectively manage past due deliveries from all suppliers across the 3 categories, ensuring overdue orders are kept to a minimum.The role will require you to pro-actively monitor suppliers past due values and associated contribution and report this to the business. You will also be responsible for ensuring that non-conforming deliveries are dealt with quickly and efficiently, ensuringtimely payment of invoices and a smoother customer experience.Duties:

  • Daily reporting of past due deliveries by supplier, PO value and associated contribution, and reporting of this to the business each day
  • Contact suppliers to confirm availability/delivery dates for overdue items and update the ERP system
  • Ensure that all deliveries due the following day are booked into the Goods in Diary
  • Chase deliveries that were booked in with Goods In and not delivered
  • Attend relevant meetings with supply teams and act upon any actions required
  • Compile weekly reports for overdue PO lines and temporarily unavailable products
  • Process all NCRs that are raised by Goods In, ensuring they are processed correctly whilst communicating each stage with the relevant Demand Planner and any other departments impacted by the NCR
  • Assist the Demand Planning team as required and directed by line manager
Key Skills & Experience:
  • MS Office including Excel and Word intermediate level
  • Enthusiastic, positive and a self-driven individual
  • Experience of working with suppliers in a confident manner desirable
  • Excellent communication skills cross functionally
  • Attention to detail, methodical and able to work under own initiative
  • Experience in SAP desirable but not essential
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
