Job Description

Our client based near Bargoed is looking to appoint a QEHSF Partner to join the QEHSF & Regulatory department.The purpose of this role is to ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in accordance with the company Integrated Management System and project specific documentation.The Role:

  • Develop policies, processes and procedures that meet statutory and certification requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining the groups external quality accreditations, including ISO9001/ISO14001.
  • Co-ordinate and lead customer regulatory audits, as well as develop and train an internal EHS team to help control and maintain both internal EHS and Quality needs.
  • Maintain the Impacts & Aspects register for the site, as well as a monitored legal registry.
  • Conduct a hazard analysis and lead risk assessment activities with operators/users.
  • Accident investigation and reduction of risk of reoccurrence by analysis data and root cause, identifying trends, implementing continuous improvement and manage RIDDOR.
  • Chair EHS meeting and manage any remedial gap-based action plan.
  • Maintain and manage the site disaster plan based on the hazards, including fire drill-assessments etc.
  • Set up toolbox talks that promote EHS-Q topics as a lessons-learnt tool.
  • Maintaining technical data files that support assessments as well as packaging waste regulations and other directives.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality and compliance matters.
  • Writing, reviewing, and managing controlled documents and SOPs.
  • Managing repairs and monitoring systems performance.
  • Managing renovations, refurbishments, and office moves.
  • Managing compliance requirements for supplier and servicing activities and management of contractors.
  • Managing budgets and accounts.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports, develop dashboard to support decisions.
  • Coordinating the implementation of new projects including capital projects.
Requirements:
  • Good 3 - 5 years experience in logistics / FMCG industry.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification desired.
  • Excellent computer literacy, with experience in MS Office essential and SAP desirable.
  • Effective communication style appropriate to audience and situation.
  • Ability to create a positive impact and convey confidence and credibility to others.
  • Proven ability and experience of working on own initiative, and to play a proactive role as part of the wider Group EHS community.
  • Flexibility to travel within the group of companies to support when required.
