Job Description

Finance Manager Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not for Profit are working in partnership to find an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing charity based in Bargoed. As a member of the Senior Management Team, youll lead the Finance Team in planning, monitoringand controlling the charitys finances to ensure effective financial planning. This role is critical to the charitys success and requires a candidate with a proven track record in the charity/non-profit sector.What the Finance Manager will be doing:

  • Lead the Finance Team in the planning, monitoring, and control of finances, including setting and monitoring budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, overseeing investments, and presenting quarterly management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the charitys overall strategic and operational direction, identifying controls to mitigate financial risk.
  • Proactively lead an effective, efficient, and professional Finance Team, including planning and monitoring the teams annual work plan.
What the Finance Manager will need:
  • Fully qualified accountant.
  • Knowledge of accounting in the charity sector and recording and preparing financial records in accordance with Charities SORP (FRS102).
  • Positive leadership and management skills, including experience of managing staff.
  • Experience in reporting to the senior management board and board of Trustees.
  • Experience in dealing with large budgets across multiple different funding streams.
