Job Description

Ticketing & Flights ExecutiveThis leading specialist tour operator are looking for a Ticketing & Flights Executive to join their team. In this role you are responsible for everything related to flights, including ticketing, documentation and ensuring best fares are sourced for all bookings.Hybrid working or fully home based for experienced candidates.Ticketing & Flights Executive - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for issuing all airline tickets and reissues
  • Processing of automated ticket through BSP or Amadeus
  • Review ticketing deadlines daily and liaise with internal teams to get these actioned
  • Advise fares (nett and published) to departments daily and schedule queries
  • Liaise with airlines regarding amendments and errors
  • Secure seats & rates for ad-hoc tours and all allocations
  • Regularly review reservations system to ensure all ticketing information is correct and look at ways to improve the sales and administration function
  • Weekly review of committed seats for all carriers
  • Responsibility for checking BSP link and dealing with any ADMs / ACMs and querying any discrepancies
  • Ensure all flight information on customer documentation is accurate and current
  • Management of Amadeus queues
  • Pro-actively source cheaper fares prior to ticketing
  • Assist sales team with sourcing flight routes and prices ensuring competitive rates are achieved
  • Build strong relationship with airline account managers
  • Be on call to assist with flight emergencies
  • Load and maintain contracts in reservations system
Ticketing & Flights Executive - Skills & Experience Required:
  • Experience of working in a fares & ticketing role for a tour operator
  • Amadeus proficient
  • Experience of booking worldwide travel requirements
  • Experience of issuing, re-issuing and re-calculations
  • Excellent working knowledge of both net and published fares
  • Strong geographic and product knowledge of destinations, cities and airlines
  • Working knowledge of IATA and currency regulations
  • Strong customer service focus and skills
  • Ability to deal pressurised deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English
  • GDS Fares and Ticketing Qualification / Fares qualifications BA1&2 or VA 1&2 would be an advantage
  • Dynamic, personable with ability to priority and manage workload effectively
Ticketing & Flights Executive - Additional Information:
  • £23k to £26k dependent on experience
  • Hybrid - 2 days office based or fully remote for experienced candidates
  • Monday to Friday 9 to 5, with some out of hours cover for flight emergencies
