TempSalary 24 -26kMon to Fri 37 hrsRole Stock controlKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES To receive deliveries from suppliers into the Stores building and to check that the relevant paperwork such as delivery notes is correct. To match deliveries against orders on the Institutes finance system, complete the goods receiving transaction and generate a Goods Received Notes (GRNs) from the Institutes finance system. To manually create a Non-Agresso Business World Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for items received without a purchase order. Allocate delivered items with associated documentation to the appropriate assembly locations in the Stores for onward delivery. Picking, assembly and delivery of Internal orders with associated documentation to the appropriate assembly locations in the Stores for onward delivery. To put away Stores stock into the relevant storage bays. Update the issue of Stores items on the Institutes finance system Assist with the maintenance of stock control and stock levels in the Stores. Assist with delivery, issue and storage and Gas cylinders and Dry Ice. Assist with sorting, storage and issue relevant paperwork of recycling materials Assist with transport of goods between different stock holding areas To answer enquiries received via the telephone or electronic mail relating to the work of the stores. Collection of solvents from the solvents store Arranging the return of goods to Suppliers when necessary Deputise for the Stores Manager in relevant areas as required General administrative duties e.g. filing goods receiving notes and orders. All staff must ensure that they familiarise themselves with and adhere to any policies that are relevant to their work and that all personal and sensitive personal data is treated with the utmost confidentiality and in line with the General Data ProtectionRegulations Any other duties that may be required which are consistent with the nature and grade of the post.This post benefits from a contributory defined benefit pension scheme and generous leave entitlement.PERSON SPECIFICATIONEducation & Knowledge5 GCSE grades A-C or equivalent including English and Mathematics.ExperienceExperience of using computer based applicationsExperience which has led to a basic understanding of Stores Processes and Inventory ManagementGood customer care skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows and associated Office applications including Word & Excel.Ability to learn and use a variety of Stores and Purchasing related software packages..Ability to prioritise and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and without supervisionGeneralWilling to provide cover for colleagues when required (consistent with skills and experience).
