Are you looking for a new challenge in Banham, NorfolkIf so, this may be the perfect role for you!A little bit about the role & school from my perspective!We are working with a lovely special school in Banham, Norfolk who are keen to grow their team of fantastic SEN Teaching Assistants. The school are off to an awesome start this year and are excited to continue this way by finding some more great talent to supporttheir primary pupils.You will have access to a rewarding career and have the opportunity to have a real impact on young peoples lives as an SEN Teaching Assistant. The team really care about their staff and pupils wellbeing, so someone who shares this passion would be very well suited!Every pupil has a diagnosis of Autism and may have additional needs. These pupils have so much potential, and they will rely on you when it comes to guiding their amazing learning journeys.The school is in a wonderful setting in Banham, Norfolk where they have built a great environment for the pupils to thrive.We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is resilient and up for a challenge, as this role can be tough!We are very keen to speak to people who are looking to become an inspiring role model to the pupils. You will gather newskills and learn from others as you grow within your career.Every day will be different and challenging, but you will have all the support you need!You will be within a team of brilliant individuals who have lots of skills and experience to share & you will enjoy learning along the way with valuable advice and guidance too.Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too.
  • You will take responsibility for pupils emotional and physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals.
  • You may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences, or supervising children as they explore further afield.
  • Providing a helping hand to the class teacher and effectively completing any daily routine tasks needed.
  • Ensuring pupils safety during the day.
  • Using unique ways to cater tasks to individuals learning methods.
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe learning environment.

SEN Teaching Assistant Job Details:
  • Part Time/Full Time
  • Between £16,500 & 18,700per annum
  • 37.5hours per week (FT)
  • Permanent
  • 8:30am-4:30pm
  • 39 weeks of the year
