Job Description

Privacy Manager - Privacy Programmes and Data Protection Salary: CompetitiveGenerous Benefits PackageLocation: Near PrestonThis is a unique opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic software and services company as a Privacy Manager, characterised as a true market leader in the vertical and sector in which they are placed. This organisation bases itself upon the delivery software services, supplying these services to a range of traditional and contemporary clients.The Privacy Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering Privacy Programme core initiatives, which includes and is not refined to the development of plans, the overall engagement with stakeholders and the drafting of deliverables. In alignment with this, you will act as a technical resource offering advice on the practical consequences of complying with relevant privacy obligations and having responsibility for maintaining Privacy frameworks (Governance, polices, standards and guidance) which includes the monitoring and implementation of internal data and protection policies.Key Accountabilities:

  • The Privacy Manager will have the ability to foster a data protection culture within the organisation to assist with the implementation of the essential elements of data protection.
  • Reviewing global and high-risk Privacy Impact Assessments and vendor privacy risk assessments to provide advice on new projects and products.
  • Working across the internal divisions within the organisation as the Privacy Manager, whether this is with the legal team to review legal contracts or with the sales team and customers to respond to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Have had previous experience of leading incident and breach investigations support privacy and being able to support DPO to assess the level of compliance maturity and privacy -related risks (including the Risk Reporting process).
  • Having a solid foundation of knowledge for Data Privacy Law changes around the world and with a breadth knowledge surrounding ISO awareness and ISO responsibilities.
  • A fantastic opportunity for an analytical thinker with solid communication skills, idealistically you will have 3-5 years experience managing privacy operations within an organisation.
