Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics and Operations Manager to join a leading and long-established flooring distribution business based in Bamber Bridge, Preston.Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll be joining a business who after 30 years have built wonderful relationship with their customers. With three offices nationwide, you’ll be working for the Bamber Bridge, Preston depot and be responsible for overseeingthe Transport, Compliance and day to day Operations of the business on a daily basis you will be…- Managing the internal fleet team of approximately 16 wagons and drivers- Ensuring the fleet and drivers are working within compliance guidelines (including vehicle services, MOTs, tachographs and working hours)- Route planning and coordinating the wagons and drivers for deliveries across the North of the UK- Acting as the first point of contact for the drivers answering day to day queries, managing delays, complaints or questions- Keeping records of routine safety checks- Working alongside the Transport Administrator ensuring records are maintained accurately- Producing weekly reports for the Operations DirectorSalary Hours & Benefits- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending upon experience)- Full time, permanent position with working house of Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm- 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays- Company pension, private medical and staff discountsTo apply for this opportunity, please click on the link below and attach your most recent CV.
