CONSULTANT CLINICAL HEALTH PSYCHOLOGIST An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative and enthusiastic team of clinicians in working to support people living with Persistent Pain and CFS/ME to understand their condition and move towards their preferred future. We are seeking a highly experienced, confident, adaptable and forward thinking Consultant Clinical Health Psychologist who can take a lead in relation to service planning, service development and clinical service transformation. You will have substantial experience of working within physical health settings and providing a clinical health psychology service.The Central Lancashire Moving Well service is an Integrated Community Musculoskeletal team providing a single point of access for local GP’s to refer for Rheumatology, MSK, physiotherapy and Pain & CFS/ME assessment and intervention. We offer shared care and peer support in the heart of the community.Your primary focus would be within the Pain Management and Chronic Fatigue /ME team, with possible scope for development. You will have experience of working in an interdisciplinary pain team and supervising non-psychology colleagues in applying psychological principles into their practice. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate clinical supervision and governance around the delivery of psychological interventions. It is expected that you would also provide specific clinical leadership to support the development and establishment of service transformation.This is an exciting opportunity following the re-banding of the post, in recognition of the need for senior psychological leadership within the service. We will also be advertising a Clinical Psychology post to join the existing Assistant post, forming a small professional team. You would also benefit from being a member of the Clinical Health Psychology Specialty within the Trust as well as the wider Psychological Professions within LSCFT.The Trust has close links with the Lancaster University Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and provides placements for trainees from Lancaster, Manchester and Liverpool. There is an expectation that you would be in a position to supervise a Trainee if approached.Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance. As part of the pre-employment checks, successful candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS check at a cost of £50.
