Job Description

Purchasing OfficerCommutable from: Sheffield, Buxton , Macclesfield, Chesterfield, Derby £25,000 + Fantastic Progression + Company Bonus + Overtime + Extensive TrainingAre you from a purchasing background with relative SAP System knowledge looking to join an industry leading company monitoring emissions and positively making an impact on the environment.On offer is the chance to be a part of the Purchasing Department and oversee the manufacture of cutting edge instrumentation.This company is a market leader in their sector and are striving towards being a world leader in 2023, whilst putting quality at the forefront of their business.This would suit someone from a finance or purchasing background who has experience in doing so, in a manufacturing environment. The role:

  • You responsible for sourcing material for production as well as ordering ad hoc items such as packaging material and office supplies
  • Work closely with the production manager, manufacturing coordinator and planning coordinator to enable the smooth supply of material in order to maintain on time delivery and fulfil customer requirements.
  • Managing suppliers and contractors effectively and ensuring delivery deadlines are met and quality is maintained via conducting regular supplier audits and weekly quality meetings.
The person:
  • Basic requirements, SAP knowledge essential ,preferably SAP Business one
  • Experience in a purchasing role in a fast paced rapidly changing environment
  • Tenacity and drive are required as the current climate means material shortages and alternative parts and suppliers are the norm.
