Accounts Assistant, Bagshot, to c£25,000Working for an established and growing local business, this job role reports to the Accounts Supervisor in afriendly and supportive team environment. It will suit someone with at least 1 or 2 years (or more of course) ofgood all round Accounts Assistant / Ledger Clerk / Accounts Administrator type experience looking to put theirvaried skills to good use in a role that will offer genuine opportunity for growth and development as theposition has been created by positive business growth.The job itself will include purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, cashbooks, a small amount of creditcontrol, some involvement in the payroll processas well as additional ad hoc duties in support of other members of the finance team.Daily duties will include:Batching, matching, coding and inputting purchase invoices on to the accounts system, reconciling supplierstatements, preparing weekly and monthly BACS/cheque payments runs.Raising sales invoices, sending out supplier statements, chasing customers with overdue accounts by phoneand by email, sending out statements, allocating payments etc.Inputting cashbook payments and receipts, preparing the daily banking as well as bank reconciliations andtaking and resolving supplier queries.Some involvement in the payroll process.This job will suit someone self-motivated with a muck-in, can-do attitude who is hard working and thoughtful,able to understand the consequences of their actions and how they affect the team and the business.Whilst not essential, this role could fit someone studying an AAT qualification (or equivalent) as the client islooking for someone who will grow with the role - study support can be available after a qualifying period. Theclient would also consider a bright Accounts Graduate with gap year accounts experience.Hours of work are 9-5.30 with an hour for lunch (you may be able to start / finish a little earlier if required).Other benefits include Healthcare, 20 days holiday and free on-site parking.Applications are being considered immediately -
