Accounts Assistant, to £26000, BagshotWorking for a successful local business in a busy, fast-paced Finance team, this permanent full time office based Accounts Assistant role will suit someone with a couple of years of good all-round Accounts Assistant / Ledger Clerk / Accounts Administratorexperience looking to put their varied skills to good use in a role that will offer eventual opportunities for development.The job itself will be focussed around purchase ledger processing, supplier payments, reconciliations and some credit control, and you may also eventually get involved in some payroll administration, as well as additional ad hoc Accounting duties in supportof other members of the wider finance team.Previous accounts payable skills are essential, and credit control experience would be useful too, but full training will be provided on the payroll side if appropriate. Whilst not essential, this role could suit someone studying for an AAT qualificationand study support can be available after a qualifying period.Responsibilities will include: Batching, matching, coding and inputting purchase invoices on to the accounts system, reconciling supplier statements, preparing weekly and monthly BACS/cheque payments runs. Taking and resolving both external supplier AP and internal staff payroll admin queries. Monitoring the aged debtors list and chasing outstanding business to business credit balances.This job will suit someone self-motivated with a muck-in, can-do attitude who is hard working and thoughtful, able to understand the consequences of their actions and how they affect the team and the business.Standard hours of work are 9-5.30 with an hour for lunch, but there is some flexibility there if requirede.g. the option to start and finish a little earlier if preferred.
