Our client excels and prides themselves in first class therapeutics.This exciting role could be as little as 2 weeks but could also cover a maternity role long term.Summary Description of RoleA lab based role within the Discovery Biology team whose function is to manage our compound library and help with routine laboratory tasks to support the biology department.Key Responsibilities* Register compounds* Dilute compounds and make dilution plates* Weigh and ship compounds* Make laboratory solutions* Check and replenish stock levels* Oversee ordering and good-in activities* Wash and autoclave glassware* Ensure waste is appropriately collected* Update COSHH register and file MSDS* Oversee maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipmentOther Responsibilities* Health & Safety* Organise PAT testing of equipment* Interact with vendors* Reorganisation and improvement to laboratory environment* Tissue culture (as required)* Screening and biochemical assays (as required)Key Requirements (Qualifications and Skills):* Previous laboratory experience required* Organised* Attention to detail* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment* Good communication skills* Able to work independently but also as part of a teamStart: Immediate Duration: 2 weeks minimumLocation: Babraham, CambriodgeHours: 9-5.30pmHourly Rate: £10-14/hrIf you are interested in this position, feel you have the relevant experience and skills and would like to apply, please call our team on or apply online.
