Fixed term contract (1 year) Assistant AccountantBabraham£33,000-£37,000An opportunity has arisen with a Babraham based company, for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the existing team for a period of one year, covering maternity leave.This role will see the post-holder reporting in to the Head of Finance and taking responsibility for a variety of duties, including the following:-Preparation and posting of GL journals both via an import and manual entry-Payroll posting and reconciliation of payroll related control accounts-Reconciliation and investigation of GL accounts (including GRNI and vendor invoices held as pre-paid)-Working with Accounts Payable teams in UK and US-Assisting with month end closeThis client is looking for somebody with substantial previous accounts experience, and who is comfortable dealing with the above duties. A solid knowledge of debits and credits is needed for this position. AAT or part ACCA/CIMA qualification is desirable,however not essential.It is necessary that candidates have a good level of Excel skilland are capable of working to regular deadlines.You will join a friendly, established team, working in pleasant modern offices, set in rural surroundings and with on site parking provided.Please apply now for more information.
