Job Description

Kymab is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a deep pipeline of novel antibody-based therapies in a broad range of indications. The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, integrated platforms collectively called IntelliSelect®. Kymab’s platforms have been designed to maximize the diversity of human antibodies produced in response to immunization with antigens. Selecting from a broad diversity of fully human antibodies allows for the identification of antibodies with optimal drug-like properties.To work as part of the Facilities Team, primarily responsible for overseeing Goods In, Inventory Control, Purchasing, as well as providing a range of support activities in conjunction with the Director, Operations, Facilities Manager, Laboratory Manager and the Facilities Support TeamKey Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Goods In department: receive deliveries, unpack and store in appropriate storage location, check goods in on the Amici procurement system, communicate to staff they can pick up goods, file all paperwork and liaise with finance re any disputed invoices for goods received.
  • Implement and develop new Inventory management system to control and monitor all goods received by Kymab and their location
  • Sample management: overhaul current LN2 storage system and manage all samples in and out of the system thereafter, set up a service for staff to receive samples
  • Procurement of all stock items for general use
  • Maintain and manage all asset and goods storage areas
  • Job Requirements:Education and Experience:
  • General science education, to A’ /BTEC level standard or equivalent
  • Previous relevant inventory systems and stores experience
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures, data analysis skills
  • Strong IT skills, Word, Excel, web-based databases
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • A high level of organisation & problem solving skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of liaising with suppliers
