Clinical Bioinformatician*Cambridge - Flexible working*This well-established biotech are looking for a Bioinformatician to join their ever growing team in Cambridge. This company focus on developing cancer diagnostics to discover cancers earlier and improve treatment options, giving patients better chance of survival.They are world leaders in cancer research and the technology they have developed is some of the most sensitive in the world. They are now seeking a talented clinical Bioinformatician to join the clinical team and assist in the companys growth. In this role you will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from raw clinical data analysis, maintaining, and optimizing code and creating bespoke software solutions. Youll need to have demonstratable NGS experience and be comfortable writing custom scripts.Ideally you will have:* MSc or PhD in the field of computational biology/bioinformatics/applied statistics, or significant industry experience in a relevant field.* Scientific programming experience in R and/or Python (Essential).* Familiarity with data visualisation libraries in R/Python such as ggplot2 or matplotlib (Essential)* Experience working in a UNIX environment (Essential)* Experience with or strong desire to learn next generation sequence data analysis (Essential).* Experience with cancer genomics data (Desired).* Experience with variant calling and exome/WGS pipelines (Desired).If you are looking for the next exciting opportunity in your bioinformatics career and have a background in clinical data analysis this could be an amazing opportunity for you.
