Job Description

Warehouse ManagerSalary dependent on experience + Profit Share, Company pension, 25 days holidaysFull Time / PermanentBS11 8HTWe have a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our metal stockholding operation based in Bristol. Specialising in next day delivery of Aluminium and Stainless Steel, our businesses are all built on the highestlevels of service. Having already exceeded our initial growth targets we are firmly focused on the next level and require a Warehouse Manager with the drive and enthusiasm to match our ambition.You will be responsible for the day to day running of our Avonmouth based warehouse, where there is a multi-shift 24 hour operation in place.Key Duties & responsibilities will include but not be limited to-

  • Responsible for goods inwards, warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Staff performance and warehouse management
  • Lead our warehouse and distribution team to deliver objectives and maintain a best in class service to our customers
  • Stock management
  • Manage a multi shift team over a 24hour7 day week period
  • Controlling resources and warehouse shift patterns
  • Controlling use of warehouse space, loading and unloading
  • Planning and managing the demands of the business cost effectively
  • Ensuring high accuracy of handling with minimal defects
  • Performance management of staff and adherence to company standards
  • Managing and reporting maintenance and functionality of the warehouse
  • Adhering to H&S practices at all times
  • Key holder
Essential Skills:
  • Counterbalance forklift license and experience
  • Own transport and driving license
  • Excellent organisational and supervisory skills
  • Strong personality and hard working
